Elyssa Sternberg has been an attorney investigator at Wagener Law since 2025, focusing on conducting neutral workplace investigations. She has been practicing labor and employment law since 2019.
Elyssa began her practice at Sheppard Mullin, a premier law firm rated as one of the “Best Law Firms” by U.S. News & World Report and recognized by Chambers as an “Elite” firm for labor and employment law. In that role, she handled all aspects of litigation involving federal and state labor and employment laws, including initial fact investigations, depositions, mediations, and drafting motions. Elyssa also advised and counseled clients on employment practices, such as new hire issues, handbooks, and other personnel decisions. Her articles on the evolving employment law landscape have been published on Law360, on Sheppard Mullin’s labor and employment blog, and in the California ALERT Newsletter.
Elyssa earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Boston University, where she graduated magna cum laude.
